Colossians 3:5 AMP - So kill (deaden, deprive of power) the evil desire lurking in your members [those animal impulses & all that is earthly in you that is employed in sin]: sexual vice, impurity, sensual appetites, unholy desires, & all greed & covetousness, for that is idolatry (the deifying of self & other created things instead of God).

Proverbs 17:17; 18:24; 27:9 A friend loves at all times, & a brother is born for adversity. A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Ointment & perfume delight the heart, & the sweetness of a man’s friend gives delight by hearty counsel.

John 13:14-17 If I then, your Lord & Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. 16 Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. 17 If you know these things, blessed [happy, full of God’s blessings & self respect] are you if you do them.

Matthew 20:26-28 …whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. 27 And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave — 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but [came] to serve, & to give His life a ransom for MANY.”

Men will be lovers of pleasure & self ( 2 Tim 3:2 ). Let’s not be a statistic! Let’s not fulfill of that prophecy! Let’s not join the masses who love SELF more than GOD ! SELF
