ECDL-F AGM, 10 December 2004 Market Structure Key defining factor for success in most markets is government / educational / public sector support & endorsement. Approximately 70% of all ECDL/ICDL sales are dependent on the education sector & public sector funding. This is both a strength & a weakness of the programme. There are no major markets to date that are sustained by corporate sector alone. Need to expand the programme into other market sectors. Product life cycle creates need to rejuvenate the programme for mature markets.
