Joey: Excuse me, do you validate parking?

Cory: Good afternoon, ma’am. We do validate parking, yes. When you’re ready to leave, bring me your receipts and I’ll stamp your parking ticket.

Joey: Thank you. (turns to leave)

Cory: Ma’am? I should also tell you that we validate one hour for every twenty-five dollars you spend, up to three hours. After that, parking is reduced to a dollar and a half per hour.

Joey: Okay. I don’t plan on being here much longer. Oh, can you tell me where I’ll find winter coats?

Cory: Winter coat are out of season, but you might be able to find something in our clearance section. That would beon basement level one.

Dora: (approaches desk, talking to someone) Judy, don’t worry! I’ll get one! (to clerk) Can I rent a stroller here?

Cory: A stroller? Yes, sir, we have strollers. We only ask that you leave your ID with us.

Dora: Sure. (hands ID to clerk) (to Judy) I’m coming!

Jing: Sir, excuse me. I, well, I’ve lost my boyfriend. One minute he was behind me and the next… I can’t believe it! He has my bag with my keys and my wallet!

Cory: All right, Miss. I’m sure he’s still in the mall. I’ll page him for you. If you write down his name, we’ll find him.

Mike: (approaches desk) Did someone page me?

Jing: Mike, where have you been ?

(Joey arrives and clerk turns to her.) Cory: Did you find a winter coat?

Joey: No. There was one, but it was the wrong size. I did find a great pair of boots, though.

Cory: That was fortunate. If you hand me your receipt, I can validate your parking ticket.

(Jing walks up to desk.) Jing: While we’re here, can you tell me about your VIP card?

Cory: Gladly. Just a moment, please.(stamps Joey’s receipt) Ma’am, you were here for four hours. The first three hours are complimentary, the forth hour is one and a half dollars. You can pay as you drive out.

Joey: That’s fine. Thank you for your help.

Cory: Not at all. (turns to Jing) This is a brochure about our VIP program. You receive one point for every ten dollars you spend shopping with us.

Jing: And what do I use the points for?

Cory: Your accumulated points can be used toward store purchases. When you accrue fifty points, you receive fifty dollars off your next purchase.

Jing: Sounds good to me. Where do I sign up?

Cory: Do you see the sign that reads “Customer Relations” near the elevators over there? You can fill out the application and get your VIP card there.
