Visualisation of Statistics Callum, Daniel, Charlie, Courtney, Tom, Amel, Jesse

What is the application about? Our brief was to create an interpretation of the data that we gathered from a database website called Culture Grid. We did this so users and funders can understand the assets of the database. We decided to split into 3 teams to organise our work flow. These teams were data gathering, web design, and visualisation.

Data Gathering The objective was to gather information from Culture Grid. We have created an API query that will gather the information we want so that we can visualise it for users and funders. The data returned from the query is sent to a file and passed to the visualisation team.

Building the web pages Our job was to make the web pages for our application. We were using HTML code to create the web pages. Extra features needed to be added to the website such as a linked button to visualisations. If we had extra time we would make the visualisation interactive so people were able to learn more about each collection.

Visualisation Our job was to present the data from the data gatherers. We decided to present this data in a bar chart format as this was the most understandable representation of our findings.

This visualisation is updated with live data from the culture grid website
