United States Coast Guard SIGNIFICANT INCIDENTS F/V TWO MIKES  23 July at the entrance to Yaquina Bay, Newport Oregon  2 POB climbed safely from vessel to jetty  $25,000 of OSLTF used  2130 gallons onboard with numerous drums on deck  Vessel unrecovered due to location of grounding with submerged rocks and sand bars impeding recovery vessels

United States Coast Guard SIGNIFICANT INCIDENTS TUG VALIANT  Wood hull Tugboat Sank on 31 July at North Portland Harbor  All pollution and most machinery removed previously  Had been kept afloat with continuous running bilge pumps
