ANIMAL ABSTRACTION 1.Start off doing research on two animals—Please check the blog for instructions and links 2.Choose one of the animals to move forward with and start by sketching the animal in your sketchbook 3.Now look at the animal and the 5 facts you found about the animal—Start to draw small thumbnail sketches and focus on one area or aspect of the animal 4.This project is part wheel and part hand built—You will start by throwing a cylinder, bowl or bud vase 5.Next you will use slab, coil, pinch pot or a combination of those hand built techniques to complete the rest of the vessel 6.The idea is to create an abstract drawing of your animal and then create a sculpture based on your drawing 7.You will also use red clay to use for texture, pattern or other surface details
