Getting Started: Remote Control Your FiOS TV Remote lets you explore and customize your TV viewing…take a few moments to learn about it. Navigation buttons– These are buttons you use to: view the TV listings guide (Guide), use the Interactive Media Guide menus (Menu), get more information about a program (Info), and move up, down, right, and left (^, V, <, > 0 when you browse menus or the Guide. Specialized FiOS buttons are here too–Widgets (apps for your TV), a shortcut to On-Demand, and Favorites (a button you can use to view your favorite shows only) TV Control buttons– These are the buttons you use to: adjust TV volume (VOL), Change the channel (+ CH -), Mute the sound, (Mute), and return to previous channel (Last). There is also a shortcut to DVR and a Prev and Next button. The all-in-one FiOS TV button is here, too, and it lets you turn on both your set-top box and your TV at the same time. DVR buttons– If you have a DVR, these are the buttons that let you control it: Play, Pause, Stop, Record, Skip Forward, Fast Forward, Rewind. Let’s Get Started with FiOS TV! The button opens the TV Listings Guide. The Guide displays the current channel you are watching (it is highlighted), along with six other channels close in number to your selected channel. The channels are shown in a grid, with the starting and ending times at the top of the grid. Use your FiOS remote buttons to move around the Guide to find programming. Getting Started: TV Listings Guide Icons show you more about this show Rating=G This program is shown in HD The channel you are currently watching is highlighted. To watch this channel, press the OK button. When you first open the Guide window, your current channel is highlighted. The selected channel shows you the channel number and network icon, the start and stop times, icons that indicate if the program is HD, and the rating of the show. A short summary of the plot is displayed also. To choose a program: scroll to it and highlight. Then, press the OK button. You are returned to live TV, and you will be tuned to the channel and program that you chose. KARUNA: These text boxes are “popups” that appear when user mouses over the screen. The Interactive Media Guide shows 7 channels at a time, in a grid format. The channel numbers and icons are shown to the left of the screen, and the program times are shown at the top. To move up and down or left and right in the grid, use the Up, Down, or Left, Right arrow buttons on your remote. (icons) (^ V, < >) From here, you can browse programs, select one to watch, or set a reminder for later watching, or set up a show to record or record a show right away. (if you have a DVR).
