Black and White and Scanned All Over USING QR CODES IN MATH, LANGUAGE, AND CONTENT

What is a QR Code? “Quick Response Code” Just like the grocery store clerk uses barcodes to look up the product and scan the price into the computer, your mobile device or computer can look up QR codes too! Readable by a QR code reader (free download) on iPads, iPhones, iPods, or computers with cameras. The information coded may be text, a URL link, a website, contact information, a link to YouTube, sound, or other data. Licensed for Use by iStock Photo

How do I make a QR code? You don’t need an app or a mobile device to generate codes – you can create them free online. My favorites are:   You can also download both to your iPad or iPhone.

Steps in Creating QR Codes with Kaywa 1.Create FREE account at qrcode.kaywa.com 2.Choose if you want to create a code that directs you to a URL or select text if you want to type in information. 3.Click “generate free.” 4.Copy and paste into a word document. 5.Print and display.

I need a QR Reader, please! Go to your app store. Search for QR code reader. First 2 options are free! Select either:  QR Reader for iPad  Scan Download to your device, and you are ready to go!

How can I use this in my classroom? reading questions math problems writing prompts directions for an activity URL for student research create handouts that connect to websites or missed assignments link to video recordings link to podcasts or audio – student work and book reviews
