Fair-trade By Ezekiel Andall

What is Fair-trade? The Foundation’s mission is to work with businesses, community groups and individuals to improve the trading position of producer organisations in the South and to deliver sustainable livelihoods for farmers, workers and their communities by -  being a passionate and ambitious development organisation committed to tackling poverty and injustice through trade  using certification and product labelling, through the FAIRTRADE Mark, as a tool for our development goals  bringing together producers and consumers in a citizens’ movement for change being recognised as the UK’s leading authority on Fairtrade

Fair-trade intake?

 Fair-trade We ask for a minimum commitment of one day per week for three months for general volunteering. Some positions require more days. offers Jobs Volunteers carry out tasks by agreement with the Fair-trade Foundation staff. They give their time freely to help run events, help out in our office, help with producer visits, blog and talk about Fair-trade on social networking sites, and extend and complement the work of paid staff in a range of other ways. The Fair-trade Foundation wants to support and encourage the involvement of volunteers in every possible way.  We provide luncheon vouchers valued at £5 per day if working five or more hours in that day and refund off-peak travel expenses (maximum £15 per day) on production of a receipt/ticket.
