God’s Advice to Joshua  Book of the Law Shall Not Depart from Your Mouth

Shall Not Depart from your Mouth  It Becomes a Part of Our Lives:  Deuteronomy 6:4-9 – “talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up”

Shall Not Depart from your Mouth  Jesus  Matthew 4:1-11 – “It is written”  Paul  Acts 20:31-32 – “for three years I did not cease to warn”

Shall Not Depart from your Mouth  Us  Mark 16:15 – “Go into all the world and preach the gospel”  I Peter 3:15 – “always be ready to give a defense to everyone”  Psalms 19:14 – “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight”

Meditate in it Day and Night  Psalms 1:1-6 – “his delight is in the law of the Lord and in His law he meditates day and night”  Psalms 19:7-11 – “More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold”

Meditate in it Day and Night  II Timothy 2:15 – “Be diligent… a worker… rightly dividing the word of truth”  I Timothy 4:6-8 – “exercise yourself toward godliness”  I Timothy 4:13-16 – “Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them”

Do according to all that is Written  God has always required obedience  Ecclesiastes 12:13 – “Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man’s all”  Matthew 7:21 – “he who does the will of My Father in heaven”  I John 2:3-5 – “if we keep His commandments”

Do according to all that is Written  According to all that IS WRITTEN  Deuteronomy 12:32 – “Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it”  I Corinthians 4:6 – “not to think beyond what is written” John 12:48 – “the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day”

Results of this Advice You Will Have Good Success  Psalms 1:3-6 – “whatever he does shall prosper”  Matthew 6:33 – “seek first the kingdom of God… all these things shall be added to you”  Romans 8:28 – “all things work together for good to those who love God”  Revelation 22:12-17 – “they may have the right to the tree of life”
