You’ve just won an all-expense-paid vacation to any state in the USA!

Where will you go? Click the picture to see and hear about the 50 states and their capitals!

Which state would you like to visit? Click the map above to find out what kinds of attractions each state has.

Your Task: You must write a business letter to the tourism office of that state asking for information about what to see and do there. What do you need to know before your vacation? What kinds of information do you want? Is there something that you would like them to send to you? Make sure that your purpose is clearly stated. Include details that explain why you are writing the letter. Tell the reader what you want him or her to do. Think about your audience and your purpose…what tone should you use?
