Three-Realm Great Salvation By Henry Chu Pu-Lin Temple Master

Introduction The reason the Tao has descended into this world and massive amount of spirits can begin their ascensions is due to the time of the Great Salvation The Great Salvation is the grace of God and the mission is entrusted to our Grand Teacher Maitreya Budda with assistances by Techer Ji- Gong Buddha and Mother Teacher Yue-Huei Bodhisattva (as well as divine spirits of all realms)

Introduction The three realms of the Three-Realm Great Salvations are the Heavenly realm, the Earthly realm and the Human realm Only the spirits that dwell in these three realms are capable of receiving the Tao and begin their ascensions The presenter will explain the details process of how spirits of these realms receive the Tao

Six Paths of Reincarnation It is important to understand the Six Paths of Reincarnation in order to understand the reference to the Three-Realms The six paths are: Heavenly path, Human path, Animal path, Earthly path, Hungry Ghost path and Demon path Each path is a distinct realm and spirits reincarnate into these paths based on their own spiritual levels

Six Paths of Reincarnation Heavenly path—spirits here have achieved great virtues and contributed greatly (merits) to the wellness of the people (i.e. loyal generals and soldiers, righteous officials, great teachers, etc.) Human path—spirits here have achieved five basic virtues (compassion, righteousness, propriety, intelligence, and integrity) of varying degrees and mastery

Six Paths of Reincarnation Animal path—spirits here have not mastered the Five Virtues and suffer from great deal of attachments and infatuations (addiction), to the point of losing control Earth path—spirits here have not mastered the Five Virtues and committed a great deal of sins (debts). They will suffer continuously until their debts are lessened and their spirits cleaned enough for the next reincarnations

Six Paths of Reincarnation Hungry Ghost path—spirits here are infatuated with greed. Their appetites are insatiable and their desires overwhelm them to the point of losing control. Demon path—spirits here are consumed with anger and hatred. They resent everything and wish to kill and destroy everything that’s in their way. They are constantly fighting each other without a moment of rest.

Human-Realm Salvation We are of the Human Realm and you have all experienced the process of receiving the Tao When a name appears on the Column of Heaven the divine spirits will find the person and guide the Sponsor to make the connection The person is then brought to the temple to receive the Three Treasures

Human-Realm Salvation During the ritual, the Dragon Heaven form was offered to the divine spirit and the person’s name is erased from the List of Life and Death and registered in the Column of Heaven as “Received” At this point the person’s Ascension process begins and the person is encourage to part- take in the Heavenly mission and be involved in the temple community

Human-Realm Salvation Any assistance to the Heavenly mission is considered a great merit, which is the envy of the divine spirits (the greatest advantage of Human-Realm) The order of Ascension: Karma Resolution, Ego Resolution, Enlightenment, (the rest is up to the individual), Heavenly Mission, Successful Mission and Attaining Divine Rank

Earth-Realm Salvation When a spirit is in Earth path, only their descendants can enable them to receive the Tao When the descendant receives the Tao, the ancestor’s spirit will be lifted from his/her realm of torments and brought to the court of De- Zhon Bodhisattva The ancestor can only hope that the descendant is loving and will help them receive the Tao

Earth-Realm Salvation One requirement for Earth realm ascension is that all of the descendants of the spirit will have received the Tao or that one of the descendants has achieved a great deal of merits (i.e. Transmission Master) A (Ding-Chan) ritual is conducted by which the spirit is summoned to the temple and a descendant (preferably a son) will represent the spirit in physical form to receive the Tao

Earth-Realm Salvation The descendants understood that by sponsoring the ancestral spirit to receive the Tao, they take on the responsibility of resolving the ancestor’s Karma, which can be extremely burdensome (which is why all descendants have to agree) Once received the Tao, the spirit is brought to Maitreya Buddha’s Doe-Shai Heaven and begins the spiritual purification process (Ego Resolution) in the Heavenly Jail (usually 100days our time)

Earth-Realm Salvation After the 100 days, the spirit may be summon to the temple for Karma Initiation ritual. During the ritual the ancestor will be able to communicate with his/her descendants and resolve any unresolved matters/business After the ritual, the spirit will return to Doe- Shai Heaven and awaiting for the Karma Resolution and eventually return to Divine Heaven

Heaven-Realm Salvation The spirits of Heavenly Realm may also received the Tao and similar to the Earthly Realm, they will have to connect with someone in the human realm The difference is that most of the heavenly spirits have been deceased for a long time and their blood relatives have all gone on to their reincarnations, so they are at a lost to find someone to assist

Heaven-Realm Salvation The Heavenly spirits usually visit Teacher Ji- Gong Buddha and request for the permission to receive the Tao and to find someone in physical realm to assist Teacher will usually ask a leader of the community to assist and the Heavenly spirit will manifest in the temple and begin assisting the temple community

Heaven-Realm Salvation When enough merits have been achieved by the heavenly spirit, Teacher will arrange for the (Ding- Chan) ritual and the heavenly spirit will receive the Tao through the Medium’s physical form After receiving the Tao, the heavenly spirit goes to Doe-Shai heaven for spiritual purification and after which it returns to the temple community as a guardian of the Heavenly mission

Conclusion The Tao is the greatest grace of God and every spirit of every world desires to receive the Tao We are extremely fortunate to be the facilitators of Tao and be able to achieve great merits for assisting with this Heavenly mission We must also understand the great responsibility that is entrusted upon us and be cautious not to violate Heavenly rules and disrupt the divine order
