~What You Will Need~ Measuring Spoons/Cups Cookie Sheets Mixing Spoons Big Bowl 1/2 cup peanut butter 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 cup sugar. 1 egg 1/2 cup unsalted butter 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup dark brown sugar

~Steps To Making These Awesome Cookies~ ~Step 1~ Use a wooden spoon or electric mixer to beat the butter and peanut butter until combined, about 30 seconds. ~Step 2~ Add the sugars, baking soda and powder, and beat until combined. ~Step 3~ Add the vanilla and the egg and beat until combined. ~Step 4~ Stir in the flour until incorporated. The dough will become thick and difficult to work at this point; you may want to chill it for an hour or so until it's easier to work with.

~Step 5~ Heat oven to 350 degrees. ~Step 6~ Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place them a few inches apart on cookie sheets. ~Step 7~ Butter the tines of a large fork and use it to press the cookies flat. Make a design of perpendicular lines with the fork. Re-butter the fork as necessary. You can also dip the buttered fork into granulated sugar before pressing; some of the sugar will then stick to the cookies.sugar ~Step 8~ Bake for 10 minutes or until just starting to brown around the edges. ~Step 9~ Take out to cool.
