Boat Launching- Science Shannon Kelly Think Design Enjoy

Designing We wanted... 2 bottles 4 balloons Add more vinegar and baking soda than it called for Tape everything together We ended up with… 2 bottles 3 balloons Same amount of vinegar and baking soda it called for Taped everything together Chop sticks on the sides

The Process of Experimenting When we first built our boat it could float We discovered that the balloons were lifting up the boat So, to make it lay nicer we took some off When we first built our boat it couldn’t move properly We discovered that the amount of baking soda and vinegar it called for didn’t work So, we changed the amount by adding more

Modifications Made We had to change some of the design Had to place it in the boat differently Had to change the jobs that were assigned Added different materials to the boat

Energy Map Gravitational- the vinegar falls out of the bottle Elastic-the balloons that help the boat float are stretchy Sound-when the boat shoot across the water Chemical-we have to add baking soda and vinegar. Motion – when we have to pull back the cap
