Ozone hole

Target compounds CFC-113 、 CCl 4 、 CFC-12 、 CFC-11 、 CH 3 CCl 3 、 C 2 HCl 3 、 C 2 Cl 4 RCl + hv → R + Cl Cl + O 3 → ClO + O 2 ClO + O → Cl + O 2 Net reaction : O 3 + O → 2O 2

Sampling locations

Instruments ☆ In-situ (2000) - Park : GC / ECD ☆ Flask (2000) - Park : GC / MS ☆ Flask (1997) - Park : GC / ECD ☆ Flask (1997) - Coastal : GC / ECD ☆ Column : DB-1 ( 60 m X 0.32 mm X 1.0 μm )

In-situ chromatogram

Concentration distribution In July 2000 (Flask) In March 1997 (Flask)

Concentration variability

Relative concentration variation

Concentration v.s wind direction 0 ° 90 ° 180 ° 270 °

Concentration v.s wind direction CCl 4 CFC-113 CFC-12 CFC-11

Concentration vs. wind direction CH 3 CCl 3 C 2 HCl 3 C 2 Cl 4

Conclusions ☆ The in-situ measurement method can be more precisely recorded and better rationalized than the flask measurement method. ☆ The minor emissions of CFC-113 and CCl 4 detected by the in-situ method combining with wind data suggest that good compliance with the Montreal Protocol.
