Sara Acuna Cloverleaf Elementary April 2014

 Materials: 12 straws,20 paperclips, several strips of construction paper.  Our goal was to hold at least 50 pennies or screws.  Mine holded 173 pennies!

 We made a cube out of straws.  A cube can be stronger with triangles so I put pyramids inside.  The goal I set for myself was to hold 4 books or 74 cups and that it will drop at the 5 book or 7 cups.

 Building columns!  We used paper rolls to see how many books it could hold and see if it was stronger if we put salt in it.

 Hands on work!  Creating a Roman, Doric, Ionic My Own or a Corinthian out of clay.  Used clay and rolled it up on the paper roll.

 We made a bridge out of paper,we used 3 sheets of 8 ½ 11.  It had to hold at least 50 pennies.  The best bridge structure was the truss witch lead us to hold about 200 pennies.

We went for a tour in downtown! We saw many building and skyscrapers We walked 3 miles!! We had lunch with the mayor Also it was very fun

Look at my Gingerbread house! We made a gingerbread house out of candy, frosting, graham crackers and more!

Ms. Reed got some books from the library! She picked out some books I could use for my research!

We built the Eiffel tower! We built it out of popsicle sticks. We used popsicle sticks, hot glue. Then we designed it and had to be able to stand up and it did.

The children’s museum was awesome! I went climbing, went to a science lab and more...!

We went to see the best Christmas pageant ever! It was about some bad kid that turned good while practicing a play they were doing about Jesus 'Birth.

We built a dome out of candy We used tooth picks and candy
