How to use the eInstruction CPS System “clickers” With Study Island Ir-Gen 2 Ir-Gen 1 I’m ready to start! RF-Gen 3 RF-Gen 2

What is Study Island ? Study Island is an all online product designed to help students master the standards specific to their grade in your state.

Log on to Study Island, as teacher Where? www.studyisland.com How? Contact your campus tech person or your study Island rep for your contact info. I need to set up my classes. I have my classes set up…I’m ready to go on.

Set up or edit classes Click Class Manager Okay…I need to set up a class. I need to edit a class I’ve already set up. I get it…I need to start the test!

To set up classes… Under Add New Class, enter the name of the class (6th period). Click Next. Okay, I’m ready to go on.

Choose class roster… Choose the grade level for your class. If you have more than one grade level, you can come back to this page later to add more kids. Save & Exit. I’m ready to go on.

Select the kids for this class… Click the box next the the kid’s name to select him or her. When you finish, click Save & Exit—there is a Save button at the top and at the bottom of this page. I get it! I’m ready to test. Wait! I need to add kids from another grade!

To edit classes To add kids from another grade, or to edit the class in any way, click Edit Class on the Class Manager Page. I need some help adding kids. Okay, I’m ready to go on.

We’re ready to test! Click on any grade over on the left to get to this page. Now click on your subject. I’m ready to go on. Note: This is the Texas Version. This screen will match the State you are in!

Choose a subject Click Start Studying. Okay. Now what?

Choose CRS! Choose “Classroom Response Systems” as your session type. Click Next. Okay!

Choose eInstruction Choose the eInstruction CPS option. Then… you can set how many questions you want. Okay.

Select your class Clicker numbers are automatically assigned. Okay.

We’re ready to start! Choose Teacher Led, then Start Polling. Okay.

Look at a question… You have to click Start Polling in order for kids to answer. Click the two Results buttons to see individual and group answers. End session to end the test.

Using the eInstruction Intewrite Mobi in conjuction with Study Island allows a teacher to annotate and explain a question to students after they respond.
