AFTER-SCHOOL MATH REMEDIATION PROGRAM

 Since 2002 the Algebra Readiness Initiative (ARI) has provided mathematics intervention resources and services to students in grades 6, 7, 8, and 9 who are at risk of failing the Algebra 1 and end-of-course assessment.  The ARI consists of two major components:  1. A diagnostic assessment designed to guide instruction decisions for students that may need intervention services  2. Targeted intervention services for students

 The ARDT is the diagnostic assessment used to identify students strengths and weaknesses.  The ARDT is comprised of two types of tests:  - A grade level diagnostic test (30 questions)  - Strand tests

 Results of the ARDT diagnostic test are used to identify student strengths and weaknesses in five strands:  Number & Number Sense  Computatation & Estimation  Measurement & Geometry  Probability & Statistics  Patterns, Functions, and Algebra
