The Ming Dynasty It was a series of rebellions that finally drove out the Mongols. The rebel leader was named Zhu Yuanzhang. In southern China he founded the Ming, or “Brilliant” Dynasty.
Ming Dynasty It began in 1368 and ended in 1644 A.D. The founder was a peasant one of three peasants to be emperor. The Hongwu Emperor that led the revolt against the Mongols and Yuan Dynasty.
Ming Dynasty Nanjing was the original capital. The third emperor re-located the capital to Beijing. Zhu Yuanhang died in 1399.
Ming Dynasty Some people were happy that he was dead. One of his sons drove his nephew off the thrown and established his own capital to Beijing. Zhu son became emperor and took the name to Yongle.
Ming Dynasty Yong Le moved the capital north to Beijing . Even though the Ming emperors made all the decisions they still need the officials to carry out the orders. The development of Ming Dynasty was a novel.
Ming Dynasty During the Ming Dynasty people wrote novels in the every day language but not in the language of nobility. Some of the greatest known novels about the Ming dynasty are still read today. The beginning of the Ming Dynasty there were money problems.

Zheng He (Cheng Ho ) Real name was Ma He. Was from a poor family. Was a Chinese Muslim.
Zheng He and The Prince Met the prince who he assisted at the age of 12. Zheng He went on several military missions with the prince. In 1405 he started his 1st voyage. His boats were called Junks.
His Voyages His 1st voyage included 27,870 men. On his 4th Voyage he went to Arabia. Later, the Chinese destroyed his ships and halted further expeditions.
Zheng He In the 6th voyage he went to African coast. Only did 7 Voyages. He died in 1433. He was remembered as one of china’s best navigators of his time.
Europeans Arrive in China and The Ming Dynasty Declines By: Oshin
Europeans Arrive in China (Marco Polo) Marco Polo was born in Venice, Italy. He was an explorer and was very brave. He traveled to China and brought back tea, silk, and porcelain. He also brought back discoveries such as steel, gunpowder, and compass. After Marco Polo wrote a book about China, the Europeans were fascinated by what he brought back also.
How Portuguese help Europeans in China By 1600, they allowed Portugal to set up a trading post at the post of Macao in southern China. After Portuguese set a trading post and colonies in Macao, then other Europeans set up trading post and colonies. Spanish, English, French, and Dutch also set up a trading post and colonies.
How Mongols help Europeans in China The Mongols helped the Europeans travel around China. Since The Mongol Empire was the largest empire, they helped the Europeans travel around China. The Mongols invented a Mongol Passport. They used this passport within the country.
The Ming Dynasty Declines (Reasons) First reason the Ming Dynasty fell was they had a weak form of government. Second reason was peasant rebellions were against the Ming order.
The Ming Dynasty Declines (Reasons) Third reason was poor conditions of the Chinese armies. Forth reason was they were low on money due to the military aggressions they had taken.
