 The navy seals are an elite special forces group. They are very secretive. They are the men who killed Osama benladin. The seals in navy seals means sea, air and land. They are one of the hardest branch of the military to get into. Motto the only easy day was yesterday and it pays to be a winner.

 The Scouts And Raiders were started in ww2 when the navy needed a covert scouting group for landing beaches and coastal defenses. So the scout and raider school was made in 1942 at fort pierce Florida. The scouts and raiders were formed in September nine months after the attack at pearl harbor. Then later on they became the navy seals. They were the beginning of the navy seals and many other groups.

 President JFK realized that the army needed a unconventional warfare and special operations group against guerrilla warfare. Arleigh burke chief of naval ops wanted to make guerrilla and counter guerilla groups. They would be able to fight from sea, air and land. This is why the navy seals began.

 Seal training is said to be the toughest in the world. The drop out rate can sometimes be over 90%.It can even take 30 months of training before a navy seal can deploy his first time.
