Pooled Positions For all Pooled Positions the number is determined by the type of position. –Starts with a “9” –Second number indicates campus Used to hire Temporary, Supplemental Pay, Affiliated, Work-Study & Graduate Assistant Positions 6

Temporary Pages 5-8 Applies to Faculty, Exempt and Non-Exempt Staff Employment term is not to exceed 1 year Eligibility for benefits limited to ERB, FICA, Workers’ Compensation, and Unemployment Does not require advertising (if advertised must specify temporary nature of position) 7

Temporary (cont) Must meet minimum qualifications of position Faculty - non-tenure track faculty (main campus) averaging less than.50 FTE may be eligible for renewals. If averaging.50 FTE or greater, may only be hired for 4 consecutive academic semesters. FTE for branch campuses is.625. Exempt/Non-Exempt Staff-up to one year at.50 FTE or greater. Student Employees (Regular & Workstudy) Maximum of 20 hours per week Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 (undergrad) or 3.0 (grad) Student Job Classifications: Student Aide Student Assistant Student Graduate Special Eligible for Student Health Insurance and Worker’s Comp; no other benefits 12
