5 Formats Different levels of collaboration: Joint delivery of dual awards Delivery of UoW programmes (UoW staff)off-site Delivery of UoW programmes – joint staffing Associate Student Programme Recognition of Advanced Standing (Direct Entry)

With Education Faculty, Hogeschool Holland Students enrol and pay fees in home institution Parallel/identical programmes Two semesters in partner institution Qualify with BOTH awards BA Education Studies and English (UK) Grade 2 Teaching Certificate (NL) Joint delivery of dual awards

Delivery of UoW programmes off-site 1 With University in Hong Kong Enrol with UoW, pay local currency via CUHK Same content as delivered in UoW, but intensive course Qualify with ONE award – from UoW Admission via UHK - receives handling fee BSc Construction Management

Delivery of UoW programmes off-site 2 With college in Thailand Enrol with UoW, pay local currency via college Same content as delivered in UoW, but intensive course Combination of UoW and local staff Local staff shadow/trained by UoW staff in UK (and ongoing) prior to delivery Gradual increase of local staff to 60-75% Qualify with ONE award – from UoW Admission via college - receives %-age Post-graduate Diploma/MSc Quality Management

Associate Student programme With German Fachhochschule Enrol and pay fees to FHS Programme delivered in Germany One of 3 semesters (middle) optionally in UoW FHS and UoW programmes comparable Opportunity for alternative experience on same programme Payment to UoW for any such Associate Students MSc Software Technology from FHS

Recognition of Advanced Standing (Direct Entry) With Overseas HE college Students have completed a French Dip HE (2 Yrs) UoW agrees to accept the qualification as Yr1+2 Enrol for whole of Yr 3 of UoW Bachelors Degree College acts as agent, students pay college fees ONE qualification from UoW BA English for International Business Communication

Joint Programmes Currently few operating UK students resistant to mobility/language proficiency low Mismatch between fees here/abroad Quality assurance burdensome Better return on efforts through recruitment directly to UW programmes

Responsibility for administration These are subject/programme specific routes and are run by individual departments, supported by International Office. International office supports institutional links and student services.

How are new programmes developed? Devolved budgets mean that Schools are responsible through market intelligence and strqtegic plan for economic viability. Subject team develops proposal Academic Development Panel confirms Validation process: Quality & Academic Standards Office.

How are they scrutinised? Ongoing Quality Assurance & Enhancement Professional. Statutory, Regulatory Body? External Examiner Review & Revalidation (5 yr cycle) Quality Assurance Agency
