Frogs Habitat The frogs habitat is in or near ponds This is because frogs spawn in water

Frogs Eggs Frogs lay their eggs in water Frogs eggs are laid in clumps

Tadpoles The eggs hatches into tiny tadpoles

Tadpoles Development The tadpoles grow larger and breathe through external gills on the side of their head as the picture shown below

Tadpoles Development Part 2 As the tadpoles grows, it loses these external gills and develops internal gills The tadpoles back legs Tadpoles then grow front legs The tadpoles grow further and develops lungs It tail begins to disappear It is know a frog in its ready to leave the pond

What Tadpoles Eat Tadpoles eat the algae in the pond and other vegetable matter. They are also carnivorous and will eat frogs and toads eggs and even each other
