Research aims Substantive aims: To advance social scientific understandings of the gendered social contexts of suicide. To explore the contribution of qualitative research for exploring the social contexts of suicidal lives.
Methodological aims: To develop methods for combining diverse kinds of qualitative evidence in an understanding of suicide To engage academics and policy makers, more familiar with working with quantitative evidence, in the application and understanding of qualitative data.
