Members of CBA are encouraged to work with our Legislative Working Party at the chapter and state level to obtain and maintain personal and direct relationships with legislators in all levels of government. CBA members are encouraged to work within party precincts in their districts volunteering and campaigning for candidates who support issues favoring motorcyclists in N.C. CBA members work to educate legislators on the true facts about motorcycling, while lobbying for the efforts of all motorcyclists in their state. CBA works to fight discrimination on all levels, and to prevent unjust legislation from becoming unconstitutional laws. Because motorcycles are unlike any other vehicle on the road, they require special considerations. While motorcycles are about as likely as cars to be involved in crashes, motorcyclists are almost three times more likely to be injured and five times more likely to be killed in a crash. Motorcycling has become more popular in recent years. Motorcycles are fun, relatively inexpensive to own and insure, and get excellent gas mileage.
