Presentation transcript:

Strategic Fundraising Initiatives Since the successful completion of OSU’s $1 billion “Campaign for OSU, the OSU Foundation and the University have launched a series of Strategic Fundraising Initiatives (SFI). PAGE 1 Our goal through the SFI is to increase the level of private philanthropy over the next 3-5 years to position OSU for the next comprehensive campaign. Our two guiding principles are focused on “Student Success” and “Areas of Distinction and Impact”. On January 1 st, 2015 three of these important initiatives were launched. Marine Studies Initiative – A $65 million initiative that will develop a $50 million state-of- the-art teaching and research facility at OSU’s Hatfield Marine Science Center, and provide $15 million in important research and programmatic support across university-wide programs in Corvallis and Newport. Oregon Forest Science Complex – A $60 million initiative to support a new building complex that will help to secure OSU’s position as the preeminent center of forestry education and research in the world. Valley Football Center Renovation – A $42 million expansion project that will provide a first-class experience for OSU’s student-athletes, enhance the university’s recruiting efforts, and increase its overall competitive advantage.
