WHO IS OXFAM AUSTRALIA?  Oxfam Australia is an independent, secular, non-government organisation working in 39 countries  Oxfam Australia is part of a global movement of dedicated people working hard to fight poverty and injustice.  Oxfam Australia funds long-term projects, responds to emergencies and campaigns for change  Oxfam Australia believes that simply giving hand outs is not the answer and instead provides people with the skills, knowledge and resources to help them create their own solutions to poverty

Oxfam’s vision How do they achieve this? 1.Help people make a living 2.Help people access basic services 3.Help people in emergencies 4.Help achieve gender equality Oxfam is a world-wide development organisation that mobilises the power of people against poverty.

Why Oxfam needs your support Every day, 1 in 7 people go to bed hungry, yet the world produces enough food to feed all 6 billion of us. More than 2,000 children die from unsafe water and poor sanitation every day. That’s one child every 45 seconds. We know education is essential, yet 121 million children globally are not in school.
