Looking towards Korea Now that China is Communist, the Soviet Union has a new ally or friend. The Soviet Union gets greedy and wants to take Korea, but not all of Korea wants to be taken over. The United States wants to make up for losing China and tries to save Korea.

Korea: During the war South Korea asked the U.N. for support & the U.S. sent 520,000 troops. U.S. General MacArthur thought the U.S. could win Korea if we bombed North Korea. North Korea invaded South Korea, pushing the U.S. out of the country.

Korea: During the War In 1951, the war resulted in a stalemate or a tie. An armistice or agreement was signed to cease firing and re- adjusting the border on the 38th Parallel.

What are you going to do? You and your group mates are now the leaders of South Korea. There are a few questions you need to answer about your country before you can take it over. You will receive three confidential or “top secret” folders with suggestions on how you should handle North Korea. Remember: North Korea has support from China and the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union, China, and now North Korea are Communist. The United States and United Nations are willing to help you.
