Marketing Internship Martins Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, & Ram 1422 Main Street Union Grove, WI Brian Borkowski Communication Spring Internship 2012 UW-Parkside

During my 2012 Spring Semester at UW-Parkside, I completed a marketing internship at Martins (Dodge, Jeep, and Chrysler) in Union Grove It was always my goal to complete an internship while at UW-Parkside, and Ranger-Trak provided me with the opportunity This internship was suggested by Cars.com (nationally known search engine for vehicles) to help Martins in their marketing department.

Tasks and Responsibilities 1.Assist in marketing vehicles online to customers. 2.Learn the selling points of vehicles, and through pictures market them in a fashionable manner 3.Become familiar with all the computer programs used within the company (Digital Dashboard/ Auto Connects) 4.Digitally update inventory with both new and used vehicles 5.Update advertisements used in the news paper 6.Learn and master how to write quality vehicle descriptions, and describe them using detailed marketable vocabulary.

From my first day on the job, Bill Anderson, the General Manager at Martins explained to me the importance of marketing a product. In their case, it happens to be vehicles. If I were to succeed in this internship, I had to become familiar with the selling points of vehicles, and market their product online with photos and descriptions, and that’s exactly what I mastered.
