Web Quest World Heritage in Campania Region Introduction Task Process Resources Goals Evaluation Conclusion

introduction There is a group of students who want to come and visit Italy in order to study our natural and cultural sites considered world heritage by Unesco.They aren’t sure about what Region they are going to choose.So they are asking for information at some travel agents and tourism promotion associations and offices about three Italian regions –Sicily, Tuscany and Campania.Before their visit they are searching for some visual material to have more clear idea.

Task You join a group of young people cooperating together aiming at the promotion of tourism in your region.You are asked by the responsible of your region to prepare material to send to the students.Your task is to create a power point presentation,rich in details and impressive photos. Students will conduct research on places of interest and importance in Campania region and create attractive material for potential student visitors. It has to be as much persuading as possible. You also have to underline the universal values of the sites you are going to propose, their cultural and natural importance.

Process First step -Each student will investigate on criterias Unesco has adopted in selecting particular sites in Campania Region as World Heritage You can start your research from By surfing them you can have an idea of the universal values of the sites Then The class will be divided into 5 groups of four students One group will investigate on Amalfi coast. The second on The National park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano with the archaelogical sites of Paestum, Velia and the Certosa di Padula. The third on the archaelogical areas of Pompei,Ercolano e Torre Annunziata,the forth on the Palace of Caserta and San Leucio Park,the last group will investigate on the historical centre of Naples. Within each group a coordinator(chosen among the students )will help you to distribute some individual tasks off line Work with your group in order to give the visitors a good and balanced overview of the history, geography, cultural values and landscape of world heritage in your region

Goals The learner will apply critical-thinking skills to organize and use information acquired from a variety of sources including electronic technology. The learner will communicate in written, and visual form. The learner will use problem-solving and decision making skills to work independently and with others to achieve a goal. The learner will appreciate the rich heritage and diversity of Campania region both in its nature and culture, locate, copy, and print significant pictures from internet sources.
