Brochure Project

Unit 1 Beginnings to 1800s Since we are reading short stories from our text that relate to the early beginnings of America, you will create a brochure to PERSUADE peoples/travelers/explorers to come to Early America.

Keep in mind: o America has not been completely discovered. o People are coming here from different countries/cultures. o There is no real government, but yet new citizens are open to direction/leadership. o People are coming here looking for religious freedom. o America is virtually a BLANK SLATE, why should families, explorers, religious leaders, missionaries, etc come here?!

Be creative! You must include:  Cover Page  At least 4 pictures  These sections (in any order – your preference):  Introduction to America (where)  What America has to offer YOU (what)  Why you should bring your family (why)  Move here NOW (when)  The future looks bright  You WILL succeed (how – recommend how they can help create America or the American Dream)
