Architectural style  The Architectural style is Modern with Italian in it.  Also we kept Starbucks in mind when designing.

Green / Sustainable Design Aspects/ LEED Credits  Green roof  Rainwater Management  Energy efficient appliances

Preliminary Design Work

Codes and Regulations: 1  Section Adoption of Rules by Reference the International Building code that applies is the Indiana state building code in Noblesville, Indiana.  Section 303 Assembly Group A of International Building code of 2006 is what Indiana state building code is based on.  Section of the IBC the occupancy classification of our building is A-2 which is retail that serves food.  IBC for the size and classification of our building any type of construction can be used.  IBC 2009 Table 503 the least restrictive would be type 2B and it doesn’t require fire protection.

Codes and Regulations: 2  The materials used would be wood with wood/tile floor.  The occupancy load for the building is 13 people according to IBC 2009 Section 1005 with the number coming from Kitchen load being 200 gross divided by the area of 2655 sq ft.  The minimum egress width is 28.6in according to IBC 2009 Section 1005 with 2.2 times the occupancy load of 13.  The minimum number of doors is 2 exits according to IBC 2009 Section  Yes we can have one exit with less than 49 occupants and less than 75 feet travel distance according to IBC 2009 Section

Water Runoff Calculations and Water Management Plan

Parking Plan To find the required code for the parking spaces in your parking lot, you must figure the type of building that you are constructing. From that information, the code tells you that you must have a certain number of spaces per footage of your building. My partner and I calculated, using that information, our number of parking spaces for our building. We came out with thirteen parking spaces, included in that thirteen are two accessible spaces, or handicap spaces, with ramps on either side. In the parking lot, green space is required. We have a patch of green space at the front left corner of our building; it is rounded and gated with the curb of the street. In the green space there are multiple native plants of Indiana, and they are placed in and orientation to where it both shields the building from too much sun, or a storm, and gives the building a small taste of nature. The run off of the parking lot is cfs, and the runoff for the land or green space is cfs
