PhET Interactive Simulations University of Colorado AT Boulder

What is PhET? PhET stands for Physics Education Technology Provides fun, interactive, research-based simulation of physical phenomena for free PhET simulations animate what is invisible to the naked eye through use of graphics and intuitive controls Simulations also offer measurement instruments including rulers, stop watches etc.

PhET All simulations are freely available from PhET website Easy to use and incorporate into the classroom

Source Simulations are written using Java and Flash Standard web browser can be used to run simulations as long as Flash & Java are installed Offline website installer package can be used to install the website onto your computer Once installed you can use the simulations offline

Simulations Areas covered by PhET include : Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Math, Cutting Edge Research, By Grade Level etc. Along with simulations PhET also provides teaching and learning resources for teachers and students

Demo Show the PhET website for some examples We will use the Lab activity to actually demonstrate the applicability of PhET simulations
