Simple Machines- PULLEY :D OMG PULLEY WOW THAT’S SO COOL AND SWAGGY

What is a pulley~? (like seriously :/) A pulley is a wheel and axle with a rope attached. It is a SIMPLE MACHINE~! See, it is used so that you have to exert less force, and it does some of the work for you~! As you can see, the person pulls down rather than up, which is easier~! :D

When did the pulley originate~? (wow :D) The pulley supposedly originated around 1500 BC, by people in Mesopotamia~! They used it to get water~! :D

The first civilizations to use it~! (WHOOOOOOOOOO~!) The first civilizations to use the pulley were Mesopotamia~! :D Egypt~! :) Other regions near Greece and Rome~! ^^

What is the method for using a pulley~? (USAGE~! :D) The method for using a pulley is to attach what you wish to move and tie it to one end of the rope~. Then, you pull the other end of the rope, and the force goes to the fulcrum, which is located in the wheel~!

Possible issues~! :( The biggest issue is that the rope could snap, plummeting you and/or your cargo to the ground.

FUN FACTS~! :D The name “pulley” comes from Middle English “Poley”, Old French “Polie”, and Medieval Latin “Poliva”, but it’s ultimately from Greek “Polos”. The pulley was thought to be invented by Archimedes. The pulley is very bad for Irish people building brick walls who are very distracted by blue butterflies.
