BELLWORK In a paragraph (5-7 sentences) describe the economy of the U.S. in the 1920’s. Be sure to include: Trend of companies Buying on credit Booming economy/methods of growth How this changed the U.S. You must write in paragraph form – so use good grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc.

Trend of Business Cycles

Depression: Economic Terms Before we get into Unit 5: The Great Depression, you must be aware of specific economic terms. Knowing these terms will help you understand why the U.S. drops into a time of unemployment, low incomes, and foreclosures known as The Great Depression. You will study these terms using the strategy – vocab squares.

Economic Terms: Vocab Squares Each side should have 8 SQUARES! Each set of squares is going to be dedicated to one vocabulary word. 1.Definition: Define the word using your textbook 2.Re-definition: Define the term in your OWN words 3.Connection: How does this relate to you? Why is this word important in 2010? 4.Drawing: Define the word using a drawing, sketch, graph, etc.
