 Fiji is located on AUSTRALIA.  IT IS SOUTHWEST Pacific.  There are 330 islands but only 100 are inhabited. The rest being left as natural reserves. All of Fiji’s islands.Showing Australia and where Fiji is located.

CAPITAL OF FIJI IS SUVA

 In the 1998 constitution English,Fijian, and Hindustani have equal status as the official languages  The widely used Fijian language has many dialect  the one most commonly used is known as Bauan Fijian and comes from Bau an island  Most people speak at least two languages, including English and the language of their own ethnic community.

This design of the national flag is this way because it was a result of competition and it flew for the first time on independence day of October 10,1970 The Coat Of Arms consists of images of two Fijian warriors on either side of the shield, a takia (Fijian canoe) at the top of the shield and the motto “Rerevaka na Kalou ka doka na Tui” below the shield. The Fijian words mean “Fear god and honor the queen”.

 As of 2010 the population of Fiji was at 860,623.  Almost all indigenous Fijians are Christian, mostly Methodist. Most Indians are Hindu though a significant minority are Muslim  There is also a small Roman Catholic community

 The National anthem of fiji is God Bless Fiji  Here is a video of the song..  XpRi0&feature=related XpRi0&feature=related

 The Fijian Man tradition is strongly bonded to hi traditional cultural ties based on family and community  The Fijian woman tradition is looking over all the house work including; coking cleaning and being subservient to the men in there community.  The Fijian children don’t mind other children they make it like there “long lost friend”  Money is mostly never seen in the villages but its value is understood

History Economy  Fiji’s history consists of the use of cannibalism, Cannibalism was an extremely important institution in pre-Christian Fiji, practiced as early as several hundred years before the birth of Christ.  “According to Fijian legend, the great chief Lutunasobasoba led his people across the seas to the new land of Fiji. Most authorities agree that people came into the Pacific from Southeast Asia via the Malay Peninsula. Here the Melanesians and the Polynesians mixed to create a highly developed society long before the arrival of the Europeans.”  The industry has suffered since the late 1990s because of low world prices, drought, and inefficiencies, and the government is seeking to diversify the island's commercial agriculture.

Fiji is not currently engager in an armed conflict governed by international humanitarian law.

 Abel Tasman was the first explorer to reach Fiji, in 1643  The Coral Coast in Fiji is over 50 miles long.  The first Polynesians to reach the Fiji Islands was is 1500 B.C. or over 3500 years ago.  The very white sand beaches are the result from the natural grinding down of dead coral. Things I liked about this country is that no matter where your from if you go to a village or anywhere they will great you and treat you like there own. Something I didn’t like about this village is that they used to have cannibalism.

No, I would not like to live in Fiji. I would like to visit Fiji maybe for like a few weeks or so but I would not like to live in Fiji, I like living in the United States to much.

As we see it…As they see it…

 Jordan is located southwest Asia  Its capital city is Amman

 Jordan’s official language is Arabic.  Jordanians also speak English, French, German, Italian and French.

 6,407,085

 The great majority of the Jordanian people are Sunni Muslims.  Christians are about one-third of whom belong to the Greek Orthodox Church, make up about 5 percent of the population

Economy History The economy is growing vastly. “During the Chalcolithic period (c BCE), copper was smelted for the first time. It was put to use in making axes, arrowheads and hooks, although flint tools also continued to be used for a long time. Chalcolithic man relied less on hunting than in Neolithic times, instead focusing more on sheep and goat-breeding and the cultivation of wheat, barley, dates, olives and lentils. In the desert areas the lifestyle was probably very similar to that of modern Bedouins.”

 Jordan believs in a “time-lined” Peace press. So there are no current conflicts in Jordan right now.

I find it interesting that they speak arabic. I find this interesting because I actually have been learning to speak arabic since I was about 13.

I would actually like to live here since my family follows the Muslim Religion.

I would like to stay in our country but I would also really love to go to Jordan for a few months.
