You will depart for your flight to a Washington, DC area airport. You will meet your tour guide at baggage claim. You will load your bags on the bus and begin your day. Visit to the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum – You will get to view the exhibits and have lunch in the cafeteria. Visit to the Holocaust Museum “Daniel’s Story” - You can learn about the Holocaust from the perspective of a child. This exhibit presents the history of the Holocaust in ways that children can understand. Visit to the National Law Enforcement Memorial at Judiciary Square Dinner at Union Station Visit to the Air Force Memorial and the 9/11 Memorial at the Pentagon White House - You will have a chance to see the North Front of the White House from Lafayette Park where you can take photos and enjoy the view. (Reservations will be requested and are based upon availability) Bureau of Engraving & Printing - You'll see millions of dollars being printed as you walk along the gallery overlooking the production floor. The 40-minute experience includes an introductory film and gallery tour of the production process. Tours are subject to confirmation at the time of booking. Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine Visit to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception - This is the largest Roman Catholic church in North America and one of the largest churches in the world. Though it is distinctly American, it rivals some of the great sanctuaries of Europe. You will have breakfast and check out of the hotel. You will load your bags on the bus and depart for Gettysburg. Gettysburg Visitor Center - The Cyclorama, Film and Museum Experience at the center includes the film narrated by Morgan Freeman, A New Birth of Freedom (sponsored by The History Channel); the massive Cyclorama painting, which literally surrounds visitors with a magnificent visual of the fury of Pickett’s Charge, and the Gettysburg Museum of the American Civil War, featuring 12 exhibit galleries that contain artifacts and Interactive displays. Gettysburg Battlefield - You'll take a two hour guided tour of the battlefield. Fought during the first three days of July 1863, the Battle of Gettysburg was one of the most crucial battles of the Civil War having occurred at a time when the fate of the nation literally hung in the balance. Lunch at Dobbin House Tavern “A Visit with Mr. Lincoln” – This is a performance where an actor and historian will speak to you and your group as Mr. Lincoln. You'll hear a monologue and then have an chance to ask questions. Valley Forge National Park - You'll take a tour of Valley Forge National Park, the site of the winter encampment of the Continental Army. The park commemorates the sacrifices and perseverance of the Revolutionary War generation and honors the ability of citizens to pull together and overcome adversity during extraordinary times. Dinner in the food court at Gallery at Market Place East Drive to Philadelphia Founding Father’s Performance - Get your history straight from the source! You will have breakfast and check out of the hotel. You will load your bags on the bus and begin your final day of touring. Benjamin Franklin Museum - Explore Franklin's life and character in the Benjamin Franklin Museum. The museum features artifacts, computer animations, and interactive displays. The exhibits are geared toward visitors of all ages, with displays that are educational, challenging, and fun. National Constitution Center - You'll see a multimedia presentation about the U.S. Constitution and have time to view the exhibits. In Signers' Hall you'll see life size bronze statues of all the signers of the Constitution. Lunch at the National Constitution Center Visit to the home of Betsy Ross - This building was generally recognized as the place where Betsy Ross lived when she made the first American Flag. Independence Hall - From 1775 to 1783 (except for the winter of when Philadelphia was occupied by the British Army) this was the meeting place for the Second Continental Congress. Liberty Bell Pavilion - In 1915, the bell came home to Philadelphia, where it now silently reminds us of the power of liberty. For more than 200 years people from around the world have felt the bell's message. You will head to the airport for you return flight home.
