Activities - one of the last steps in the BYOC curriculum writing process. Allows for teacher individuality, creativity and autonomy. Teachers can streamline materials. Alignment of LTs – piece of mind! Uploading of resources, documents, web links, etc.
Activities are Added from the TOPIC Page:
Fill in Name, Description, and click on appropriate Learning Targets. Save.
Fill in District-determined fields such as: -Student Expectations -Resources/Attachments -Learning Styles/Knowledge/Learning -Miscellaneous Options -Reviews/Publishing Comments
Fill in the remainder of the fields as determined by your district.
Bet You Didn’t Know… Even when a course is published – teachers can always add and edit activities! Educators can rate activities that belong to their colleagues with 1-5 stars! Reviews include a rating and comment.
Bet You Didn’t Know (continued)… You can copy and paste activities from one topic to another! You can keep your activities private, share them with other colleagues, make them visible to other educators in BYOC or the public. If you need assistance creating activities, help is not far away!

Using the Lesson Plan Feature In order to use the lesson plan feature, teachers must have fully populated courses, including activities.
District Administrators must first: 1. Enable Lesson Plans 2. Optionally Create Lesson Plan Schedules 3. Create Lesson Plan Templates 4. Have a current calendar/schedule
Using Classes – Lesson Plans Lesson Plan Modes Lesson Plan by Class – Strongly Recommended Lesson Plan by Course – Not recommended, Legacy Support Approvals, Not recommended Require Dates/Times – Use predefined schedules Lesson Plan Schedules Traditional Bell Schedule – High School/Middle School Duration-based Schedule – Elementary School
Teachers then: 1. Create Classes 2. Add Lesson Plans 3. Edit and Enhance Lesson Plans 4. View/Print/Utilize Lesson Plans
