What they eat. Despite being the largest living mammal in the world the blue whales primary diet consists almost exclusively of krill, a small oceanic creature that generally measure in at a measly 1-2 centimetres; although a few species of krill can grow close to 15 centimetres in size.

A Blue Whales size Blue whales are the largest animals ever known to have lived on Earth. These magnificent marine mammals rule the oceans at up to 100 feet (30 meters) long and upwards of 200 tons (181 metric tons). Their tongues alone can weigh as much as an elephant. Their hearts, as much as an automobile.

Communication Whale Communication With a very underdeveloped smell sense and the poor vision available in marine waters, sound was developed by whales to communicate each other. It is believed that whales use sound for echolocation, a sonar-like capability that allow whales to locate dangers and other animals
