Suwałki is a friendly city for the people who like spending their time in different ways.

Youth Culture Centre It is a place in which young children and also teenagers learn and develop themselves through playing, they improve their artistic skills (connected with theatre, music, dancing, painting). The classes are organised in a very pleasant and comprehensible way. The effort put in development of the young, is evaluated by the audience during the performances, concerts, contests, art exhibitions, organized actions, where everyone can come. Great atmosphere, nice people and high opportunities of self development make more and more people choose such form of entertainment.

Concerts in Suwalszczyzna

WOŚP Charity concerts organized in order to help sick children in Poland. There are friendly atmosphere and many kind-hearted people.

The Wigry Mussels „The Wigry Mussels” festival was not originally held in Suwałki and the name was also different. Its origins go back to the scouts’ song festival organisation: „Wigierskie muszelki”, which sometimes takes place in Giżycko, sometimes in Elk or Węgorzewo. In 2000 the Wigry Mussels have become one of the culture events in our city. Although it has a different image and regulations, in the beginning, the festiwal in Suwałki united mainly young artists from French city Grande-Synthe and Suwałki partner cities in Lithuania. Every year new participants from Poland and abroad join it. For the last 10 years in Suwałkach there have been many talented wykonawcy from Latvia, Russia, Estonia,Belarus and Ukraine

Blues Festival The Suwałki Blues Festival is a three-day celebration of blues music. This year there will be over 30 players and singers from the USA, Great Britain, Norway, Serbia,Belgium, France, Germany, Slovakia, Denmark, Holand, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia and Poland. It generates much of the interest of many people from Poland and abroad.

Kaziuki „Suwalski Kaziuk, or market fair in the streets”. During this event you can buy man-made folk things from both Suwalszczyzna and Lithuaniana. People from suwałki enjoy purchasing painted eggs, willow palms or palms from Vilnus, old folk toys typical to this region. Also you can easily find here some gingerbread hearts and specific pretzels made especially for kaziuki event. At time of this kaziuki fair there are also old craft shows performed in the street and lots of people come to see this form of presenting our tradition.

Plaza is the biggest shopping centre in Suwałki, But apart from that, it is also a place of entretainment which you can find in Fantazy Park and Cinema Lumiere
