6 Topic Be a style guru Ensure clarity Coherent story and viable structure Have a planned publishing strategy: i.e. dont give all your results away too soon or in one hit. Rigorous review will give your work and you some standing - quality mark

7 What makes a good paper? Presents new knowledge – either research findings, theoretical developments, new insight into existing debate, new analysis of existing knowledge or synthesis of literature Grounded in relevant literature Clear methodology Addresses new issues Asks and attempts to answer provocative questions in a persuasive manner Well written with carefully crafted and sustained arguments
