What is a Poison? A poison is something that can make you sick. There are many different kinds of poisons: solids, liquids, sprays, and invisibles.

ALWAYS ASK FIRST before eating or drinking anything!

What is a Poison? Some things that are OK for grownups are bad for kids.

What is a Poison? Some things that are good for you can also be dangerous if you use too much Vitamins and medicine help you - but only when you use them correctly.

What are some other things that are only good for you in small amounts?

What is a Poison? Some things can only be safe if used in certain ways. You can wash your clothes with detergent, but you don't want to eat it!

What other things are OK to use one way, but not OK to use in other ways?

What is a Poison? Some plants can give you a rash if you touch them and other plants can make you really sick if you eat them.

Can you think of any plants you know that can poison you?

Types of Poison Solid poison chunky and chewable- like air fresheners, pills, vitamins, powders, and many, many more.

Types of Poison Liquid poison can be watery, creamy, blobby, and any color from pink to green - like bleach, furniture polish, perfume, nail polish remover, and many, many, more

Types of Poison Spray poisons can be aerosol sprays or pump sprays- like hair spray, window cleaner, oven cleaner, insecticides, and many, many, more.

Types of Poison Invisible poisons You can not see, touch, feel car fumes, charcoal grill fumes, nail polish fumes, marker fumes. Tell a grown up anytime you smell anything different or "funny".

Who gets hurt by poisons? Everyone! Kids, parents, grandparents and even pets can get poisoned!

Where are poisons found? You can find poisons in lots of places where you live and play. Can you think of where some poison might be in your house?
