Improvements to the Affidavit of Transfer to Real Estate (ATRE) Application April 24, 2013

Affidavit of Transfer to Real Estate The BMV no longer requires an application for certificate of title in addition to the ATRE application, pursuant to IC (d).

 Compliance with Indiana law.  Eliminates the complex title application process.  BMV ATRE staff resources can be utilized for other programs.  Increases application turnaround time.  Reduces the cost of the ATRE application from $35- $56 to $20. BENEFITS

Application for Affidavit of Transfer to Real Estate - State Form The ATRE application and ATRE Affidavit have been combined.

CENTRALIZED APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS All applications are processed through the Central Office Title Processing department. A manufactured home must have a serial number or vehicle identification number affixed to the home prior to applying for the ATRE.  Affidavit of Transfer to Real Estate - State Form  One Proof of Ownership Document.  $20 ATRE Fee. A downloadable ATRE Application Packet is available at myBMV.com.
