Mainly eat fish but they also like : frogs, crayfish, clams and snails Are part of the mustelidae group, family members include: Sea otters, weasels, skunks and badgers.

Wildlife continued The river has a home for: 183 different species of plant, which is the highest in Britain Largest colony of nesting sand martins And the otters are increasing!

Erosion The sediment from the bank-side erosion has a negative effect on the wildlife. Ten of the rivers in the Eden catchment have over 15% of their length with severe erosion caused by livestock (identified from analysing aerial images). The Rivers trust, tackles bank-side erosion with fencing project.

Meander in the Eden This is a very small meander which is near the middle of its tracks

The beginning of an ox-bow lake This is one phrase of the ox-bow lake to come

... And an End The rivers mouth is called Solway Firth, which then leads out to the sea.
