Building Car Wash Menus for Maximum Revenue RYKO Manufacturing Company

Car Wash Menus for Maximum Revenue Monthly Revenue at car wash sites today can exceed $40,000 per month Car wash pricing is not price sensitive! –No-one posts their car wash prices out on the street Car wash revenue is price sensitive –Menu pricing has a tremendous effect on monthly revenues Most car wash wash counts average between 1,500 and 3,000 washes per month Menu prices have been continually on the rise since operators have begun charging for the wash The basic wash has risen from $1 to over $4 and with the additional add-ons the top wash has risen to over $8 The trend is for prices to continue to rise

How do you price your wash Shop competitors in your area and log in their prices on the next page Determine how much higher your wash should be priced Log in your factor above the local market Your price for a new wash should be higher than your competition for an old wash Your new wash will provide a quality of it’s own FoamBrite should command an additional $1 over any non-FoamBrite Wash

Competitive Wash Prices

Setting Up Your Menu Options Build your menus adding value to each Step Lowest level of wash should have the minimum number of options to supply a quality wash Every Wash should include a dry Menus should be no more than three levels (except for the Select A Wash Combination wash) Lowest price wash should provide a wash and dry middle level wash should offer minimum increase in options Top Wash should have all options that are available Highlight the add-ons for each menu level Highlight the price for each level of wash Give each level of wash a name and number

Setting Up Your Wash Menu Use descriptive adjectives for each option offered All wash menus should show the highest price wash as the best value Never set up a double pass in your wash menu The most expensive wash should be listed first Should be done in attractive bright colors Make the print on the menus large enough to be readable from a distance The quality of the menus should be long lasting water proof, sun and wind resistant More and more operators are successfully phasing out cross merchandising discounts for car washes

What do you Do with your Menus Order and decide on menus before your wash is installed The menu is the most important part of the car wash Menu Counter Pads –These are a must –Order spares for when you lose one Hanging Menu Signs –Customers need time to decide which wash level to buy while they are waiting in line Pump Menus –Who would buy a wash at the pump without this? –Should be permanently and prominently displayed as near as possible to the pump information screen –Should offered in the same order on the pump as listed on the menu –Should only show the price of the wash with a purchase

What do you do with your menus Coin Box Menu –Can you imagine a wash without one? Reminder signs –The more the better “Ask me about a car wash” button –Actually very effective and will increase your sales
