Problem Statement Library Research RT, 11/19/2013, Steve Witt American Council on Education (ACE): Mapping Internationalization on U.S. Campuses Survey of U.S. Colleges and Universities to “assess the current state of internationalization at U.S. institutions, examine progress and trends over time, and identify priorities going forward.” ACE, 2012, p. 4) Surveys conducted every five year in 2001, 2006, and To what extent are US academic libraries engaged in international activities and processes of campus internationalization?

Methodology: Developing Library Focused Survey 2 Research Team: Steve Witt, Illinois; Laurie Kutner, U. Vermont; Liz Cooper, CU-Denver. Online Survey with 35 Questions. Invited 1,588 US academic libraries from bachelors to doctoral level institutions. Focused on replicating ACE Survey Adopted wording and focus on questions related to Institutional Commitment Administrative Structure and Staffing Faculty Policies and Practices Collaboration and Partnerships For curricular and learning outcomes, the focus was on library collections, services, and teaching programs Response Rates Overall12.78% PhD25.61% MA11.22% BA8.44% ARL35.35%
