Rubik’s Cube Collection Toy Box Design

Assignment 1 Choose 2 box designs and record on your worksheet. Be sure to include: 1.a sketch of your boxes 2.each box’s dimensions 3.and how many Rubik’s Cubes it can hold.

Assignment 2 By analyzing the amount of Rubik’s Cube in each row and column, derive a formula for finding the number of Rubik’s Cubes a box can hold. Your formula should let you find the number of Rubik’s Cubes without counting each one. Create a formula

Assignment 3 Choose, sketch, and build your final design Select one of the boxes to build. Be sure your sketch has accurate measurements Build your box. Use your formula to determine how many Rubik’s Cubes your final box will hold. Does the formula still work? Why or Why not?

Assignment 4 Create your Poster Write a clear explanation of how you found your formula. Use a sketch to help in this explanation.

Assignment 5 Present your Rubik’s Cube Box and Poster You will need to explain why you choose this design, label your formula, have visuals to illustrate your understanding of how to find the volume of a right rectangular prism. Can I apply this formula to other prisms?
