Food with Grace Waterdown Food Bank provides nutritious, adequate, and appropriate food to people in our community who are experiencing financial crises or struggling to survive on low incomes.
The people who use our food bank come from all walks of life. They are our neighbours; they are our families; they are us.
Food with Grace Waterdown Food Bank is here for seniors trying to live on small pensions,
…..single parents caring for children, students striving to get through college or university,
…people experiencing mental or physical health challenges, people who have become unemployed,
…and people who are working multiple jobs but still can’t make ends meet.
Our volunteers interact with our neighbours who use the food bank in a kind and respectful way….
Much of the unperishable food that Food with Grace Waterdown Food Bank receives comes to us through the donation boxes at Sobeys and Fortinos… …as well as food drives held by area churches and schools.
Fresh fruits and vegetables are secured through the Good Food Box program, the Grace Community Garden, local farmers, and other donors.
Meat, dairy, and bread items are acquired through donations from the Ontario Association of Food Banks, Hamilton Food Share, and generous businesses, service clubs, and families in our community.
Please consider making a monetary donation that would enable Food with Grace Waterdown Food Bank to purchase some of the items that are needed by members of our community but that are not regularly donated.
Thank you for all that you do to better the lives of people in our community and for considering this request.
