Using QR Codes in the Classroom By Melissa Noroski

Ways to Use QR Codes There are many ways to use QR Codes in the classroom. To find out information about a topic you are learning. As a treasure hunt to find the answer to a question. To send messages of motivation, praise, and inspiration. To check answers on class work & homework. As coupons that can be redeemed for free time, homework passes. As a fun way to give them an activity to do when they are done with their work. And many, many, more!

Where can I find them? How do I make them? Just search the web! There are many resources out there with pre-made QR Codes. You can also make your own at

Step 1: Open the Qrafter. You should see a camera icon as shown above.

Step 3: Line up the camera on the QR Code. It will scan the code, and take a picture.

Step 4: Look in the box to the left of the camera. This is where you will “crack the code!”
