Scientific Method 5 Steps

1.Define the problem Starting point for using the scientific method is to define or identify the problem

2. Form a Hypothesis A hypothesis is an educated guess, but more than that, it is the way you believe that the problem can be solved.

3. Experiment (test) This step is where you perform your test of your hypothesis. Remember to test only one variable at a time.

4. Record data (collect info.) Collecting accurate data is important in understanding your results. Can you compare (do you have a control)

5. Conclusion What is your conclusion? Did it solve the problem? You may need to form another hypothesis, if your problem wasn’t solved.
